I CRAVE…Some Holiday Help!

December 14th, 2008  |  Published in Blog

Crave BookAs I’m sure you’re all well aware, dear String readers, sometimes being fabulous is a tough gig! Looking chic, hunting down the sweetest presents, and knowing where all the great finds are can be an exhausting habit to keep up, especially this month, when your time is at a premium!

Never fear! I’d like to introduce you to the best ever trick to keep in your kimono sleeve (it’s kind of big), CRAVE Vancouver: The Urban Girl’s Manifesto! CraveThis book is an amazing guide to our area’s best female-owned, local businesses that offer kick-ass service and the best quality, hands-down, so that you can relax and feel good about indulging a little. Bonus: It even features great Q&A sections where you can meet our city’s pioneer-ettes, learn from them, and see what inspires them. Whether you’re looking to shimmy into some dance lessons with burlesque mamas, find a new spa for girls’ night out pampering, or discover the most sumptuous cupcake this side of New York, it’s all here!

Along with the versions printed for your pals in different cities, CRAVE Vancouver is a fantastic read, with oodles of wonderful colour photos. The authors of this extremely handy tome have done all their homework, so both guys and gals alike will sigh with relief, as all they have to do is choose how or where to spoil you. As a coffee table book, girlfriends can browse through it and figure out where to visit on future adventures, plus having a copy of your own will keep you looking and feeling sassy and smart. So remember: Reading is sexy!

CRAVE Vancouver: The Urban Girl’s Manifesto is available at Changes Clothing & Jewellery Bar for $19 (check us out on page 50), or is free if you win the copy that my generous (and beautiful) employer, Rhonda Davis, donated to String Magazine. Enter our contest today! All you have to do is subscribe to String Magazine here. If you’re already subscribed then sit back, relax, and cross those fingers!
*Contest closes January 15, 2009. Subscription and eligibility requires email verification.*

<3 Kari!

PS: Mark your calendars!
