The Dress & Co. designer Hideaki Sakaguchi created a singular collection that was romantic yet casual, with just enough originality and completely wearable. Layers of cotton and linen draped into one another to create soft silhouettes with feminine touches here and there in ruffles and gathers.
A boyish charm touched on Sakeguchi’s Spring/Summer ’10 collection as well with suspenders, ankle socks paired with oxford-style shoes, vests, and a single, almost out of place gray suit. Emphasis rested on the shoulders, as various styles of draped embelishments adorned loose cardigans, jackets, and dresses. Billowy hems in both dresses and skirts gave way to a contradictory disposition of meditated thoughtlessness, some even paired with gray zip-up hoodies or simple tops with printed lettering.
An overall feel of a peasant style was also palpable in the collection, which also seemed very much like a continuation of Sakaguchi’s Fall/Winter ’09 collection with its neutral pastels and soft shapes, but with a lighter, springier mood.

Such exciting and beautiful clothing! Great shots!
I think I’m falling in love with ankle socks.
