Everlasting Sprout designer Keiichi Muramatsu graduated from the Bunka Fashion College with a major in knitwear and worked for Lineapiu Group in Italy as assistant designer shortly after. He showed his first collection in 2005 for S/S Tokyo Collection Week. This season he held several knitting seminars during Japan Fashion Week.
The runway for the show was draped in white sheets and white clothes were strung strategically on clothes lines from the ceiling (left, photo by Anthea Tsoukalas). This season’s collection by Muramatsu was a rather eclectic one. The models slowly walked down the runway wearing elegant hair pieces and interesting split-toed lace-up shoes. The collection was quite playful and included a wide variety of bright colors, prints and patterns. The ever popular drop crotch pant also made an appearance. The highlight of this collection was the crinoline dresses. Muramatsu sent several looks down the runway that featured large skirts that were a mix of knit fabric and crinoline. It created an amazing mix of textures and colors that were very eye catching. Bravo Muramatsu!
