LG Denim DIY Contest

February 8th, 2009  |  Published in Blog

Are you between the ages of 18 to 24? Got a panache for design? Got your creative juices flowing non-stop? Boy, has LG got the creative outlet for you:

LG Contest ImageCreate an original pair of jeans that are fun, funky and “runway ready”!

All design submissions will be featured in one of three regional competitions that will take place in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Each submission will be modeled as part of a runway fashion show and judged by a panel of fashion industry VIPs. A winner will be selected from each of these three cities and will be flown to Toronto for a final contest announcement, where LG Electronics will crown Canada’s top “Under 25” denim designer.

The LG Denim DIY contest winner will receive:

* $5,000 endowment from LG Electronics Canada to design an original pair of jeans for Sears’ Nevada brand.

* All three regional winners will win a trip to LG Fashion Week in Toronto.

* Winners from the two other regional competitions will receive a 42-inch LCD television.

Only a small number of entries are being accepted, so the chances of winning are very good–given that you enter soon–no, now! Go! Each contestant will be provided with $100 to be used towards the purchase of materials.

Don’t forget the submission deadline is February 27th!
