Wanny Tang Boutique Launch: she put the zing in Spring!

Vancouver-based fashion designer Wanny Tang officially launched her new boutique with a special in-store presentation of her Spring 2009 collection last week.
Starting off her show, the lights dimmed and the DJ played funky jazz tunes. The models sauntered out to the music; their lips painted a rosy shade with classic smoky eyes and vintage 1940’s hairstyles. Tang’s collection was elegant and stream-lined, with just the right touch of detailing. Purples, greens, and white and pink were predominant in her collection.
Sexy athletic outfits with side cut-outs and blazers with seam detailing coupled with pleated tennis skirts lined in contrasting colours made up the first part of the show. An asymmetric white dress made its appearance paired with white peeptoe boots and was followed by a romantic floor-length strapless frock —a bilowy scarf tied at the nape completing the look. A divine satin strapless pink number was a definite favourite—an on-trend C’est bow gave a charming punctuation mark to the design.
Tang defiantly went back in time and brought back influences which she jazzed up in her own style. The effortless feminine style brought out in her clothes and the energy in her fashion show were proof of the amazing talent she possesses. Keep a vigilant lookout for Wanny’s future collections!
