Wear-ElseA Fashion Show to Kick Off Fashion’s Favourite Season
Words by Nadia Chu

The first day of September, for me, is the official start of fall, and what better way to inaugurate fashion’s favourite season than with a fashion show? Last Tuesday, the space surrounding Wear Else in Park Royal was transformed into a fashion runway and party venue, complete with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Flare Magazine hosted the event, which meant that we could enjoy a rundown of all the fall trends in addition to a runway show featuring great fall looks. The crowd was lively and stylish, and everyone was abuzz about the attendance of Lisa Tant, the editor-in-chief of Flare Magazine.

Lisa herself was dressed in a colourful art-inspired dress, which reminded us of the beauty and creativity in fashion that never fails to amaze us, even in times of economic hardship. She described all of the trends we would be seeing for this fall season, and built up our anticipation for the looks that Wear Else put together for the show. Shortly after, the coats, sweater dresses, and boots started marching down the runway, and it was easy to sense everyone’s excitement for fall dressing.

Wear Else remained open after the show, so attendees could go in and pick up exactly the item they had coveted on the runway. For the fashion lover, this is a fantastic treat because they can purchase the items they loved on the runway within moments of seeing them showcased. Wear Else has very much modernized their image and their stock in the last few years, and this show has proven that they can offer stylish pieces to the discerning fashion customer.
